What I Have Learned in Multimedia Journalism

Throughout this Winter 2024 semester in this Multimedia Journalism class I have learned how to embed, research data, and write blogs in a style that will help me in the professional world. I started the semester by choosing to do deep research into the Brighton Area Schools district. Through the MISchoolData website I was able to find data on students, teachers, race, student-teacher ratios, test score and a bunch of other information provided on that website.

I also was able to learn how to embed a lot of items, such as, Google Maps, podcasts, social media and more. Even though I was not able to attend the guest speaker Zoom meetings at the time that it was going on, I found the guest speakers to help make sense of what it could look like when being a multimedia journalist. This class has been super beneficial on furthering my knowledge on journalism.
