West Bloomfield School District Offers Schools of Choice for the 2024-2025 School Year

The West Bloomfield School District is providing a school of choice option for students who do not live within the district. It is available to kids in elementary, middle and high school. There are few spots available, and the selection process will be based on a program called STEAM. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

To enroll in the STEAM school of choice program, students must submit a recent report card, discipline record/log entries, and a copy of their IEP/504. All documents can be sent to soc@wbsd.org.

Schools of Choice STEAM candidates are expected to be Oakland County residents with excellent grades in language arts, math, social studies, and science. A positive discipline report, with no suspensions, and a high score on the CogAT Screener or the NWEA MAP Growth Reading Assessment.

All applicants must complete at least a STEAM Assessment or submit a benchmark assessment report (Fall 2023 or Winter 2024 NWEA MAP Growth Reading Assessment/iReady Diagnostic Results Report)

The application window is Jan. 16-Feb. 14, 2024. If you are interested in this opportunity, click here to apply today!
