Wayne-Westland third grade M-Step scores are up over the last decade, but still lag behind the Statewide averages.

The M-step scores over the years showcase a gradual increase in the percentage of scores over most Elementary Schools in the Wayne-Westland school district, but still holds a 13.7% deficit compared to the statewide average.

The 2023-2024 average M-Step scores of Wayne Westland district-wide was 35.1%, the statewide was 48.8%. The highest scoring elementary school was Walker-Winter Elementary School with a score of 50.6%, and the worst performing school was Eugene B. Elliott Elem. School with a low 17.5%.

The difference between last school year has seen growth for all the elementary schools except for Eugene B. Elliott Elem. School. Which indicates a trend that growing test scores year on year are coming, but are not as high as pre-pandemic scores for M-Step scores.
