Wayne-Westland Showing Modest Improvements in Test Scores

Wayne-Westland elementary schools are seeing M-Step test scores recover slightly after several years of low scores compared to the state’s average. For most schools in the district, scores have dropped since the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years. More recently, however, test scores have begun to rise from this nadir in the 2023-2024 school year.

An exception to this is Thomas A. Edison Elementary, whose most recent scores are below their pandemic levels. Additionally, P.D. Graham had their relatively highest score during the pandemic at 39.7%, being almost on par with the statewide average of 41.5%. Hoover Elementary lacks data from the past three school years.
