Let’s be real, most school social media pages are either dead or super boring. So when I started scrolling through the different Wayne Memorial High School accounts, I didn’t expect much. But I was pleasantly surprised. They’re not viral or flashy, but they’re doing a lot right, and it feels like they’re making a genuine effort to connect with both students and the community. Here’s what I found when I looked across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Wayne Memorial High School’s social media isn’t perfect, but it’s definitely not lame. Facebook is where you go for announcements, Instagram for snapshots of school pride, TikTok for real student energy, and YouTube for the longer-form stuff. The biggest thing missing is volume, more posts, more students involved, more day-to-day sharing. But what’s there now? It’s a strong start.
If WMHS keeps this momentum going and encourages students to take the lead on content, they could easily become one of the more engaging schools online. And hey at least it’s not a ghost town like some other pages I’ve seen 😅
