The Semester in Review: A Timeline

During this class, I have been challenged in many ways I did not think were possible. Technology is an enemy of mine, and there was an abundance of technological usage which put a strain on my abilities. There were a lot of hurtles to jump in regards to the coursework.

Now, in this class, we did many things that broadened my knowledge of the multimedia world. The gathering of information and implementing that information with a proper process is crucial for developing any story.

Through the different projects and blogs, we created a sense of multimedia journalism and got to experience what it feels like to be involved first hand. With the Writing with Numbers assignment and creating tables and charts, it was easy to understand how data can really add or tell a story.

Interviewing and gathering information directly from the source gives the story dimension. There are many components to writing a good multimedia journalistic story that were covered in COMP 331.
