This semester I learned a lot about multimedia journalism. The class taught me how to embed, contextualize links, research data/numbers, blogging/writing styles, and a lot of important topics/areas to focus on when researching a school district. The class also provided me with knowledge on how to conduct an interview. There were several guest speakers along with the professor, that helped me with my interview skills and improving my understanding of journalism at the professional level.
My timeline reflects mu7ch of the class, and a lot of the areas I enjoyed and/or learned a great deal of knowledge from. The different variations of embedding were great to learn. Datawrapper was an amazing resource that should be very useful in the future. I also liked the blogging because it helped me get practice at writing news. The freestyle blog was awesome, because I enjoy sports, and I did a sports blog for that one. And the curation blog was a tremendous learning experience for a new writing technique I had never really thought to do or knew how to do.
