“Soaring Stripes” 3v3 Basketball Tournament to increase student involvement in Wayne-Westland

The tournament is on Saturday, May 11th at John Glenn high school. It is named “Soaring Stripes” and the cost for each player is $25 until after April 1, where it becomes $35.

This tournament is open to all 4th and 5th graders in Wayne-Westland only, and each team must have a supervisor over 18 years old accompany them. The games will be held in a half-court game style, with 4 players per team.

The website also provides official concussion protocol as well as a detailed list of the tournament rules. An example of the rules listed follows, “Technical Fouls: UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT OR TAUNTING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED BY ATHLETES, COACHES AND SPECTATORS OF ATHLETES.”
