There are many things that I have learned during my time in college and within my past two years at University of Michigan Dearborn, although I can say with great confidence that I have learned a lot of valuable things within this journalism class. There are many different things that we covered from the beginning of the year until now. Within this blog post I will be covering my Timeline Project.
Within my timeline project I go over many different aspects of this journalism and go ways we used the tools we learned. I believe this semester we did a lot of great work and someone of the things I learned I will use and remember forever. I would say the favorite parts of this class was learning all the different types of media to use in order to determine how accurate or inaccurate something is. This was shown a lot in the bias media chart that. Specifically, within the chart the different news station is ranked on how accurate they report the information and what side of politics they favor.
Another really cool assignment that I liked was the specific part of an assignment about comparing different types of social media platforms some school uses; we look at many different platforms from the district Facebook page to a small media production class at Farmington Highschool called TV-10.
There were a lot of interesting things that we looked at during the semester and this class was something that I looked forward to everyday. I believe I put my best effort in during this semester and the assignments we did within the semester. I will never forget some of the interesting topics we discussed during our class discussions, one of my favorite ones was how adults can develop seasonal allergies which actually turned out to be a very interesting discussion due to some people in the class not having allergies.
