A timeline of projects that strengthened my abilities as a multimedia journalist.
The biggest thing I learned from this class was how much information is actually out there. I learned to dig deeper online and see how I could connect the dots. As a journalist, I must always verify my information with other sources and interviews, but I now know how much more research I can be doing for my articles and interviews. I can be much better prepared with data and social media as tools.
This timeline summarizes all the impactful assignments I completed this semester. It talks about how each of these assignments inspired me, taught me something new, and changed the way I’ll do things going forward. Each page is dedicated to a specific assignment and describes how I became better because of it.
One of my favorite parts of this class was the weekly discussions. I do not always have time to read the news every day. These assignments helped me feel informed and up to date on what is going on in the world around me. It was also interesting to see which topics were important to my fellow students.
