One of the important things I learned quickly in Multimedia Journalism was that the days when journalistic stories were told only through text were long gone. Now storytelling is enhanced through the use of various media, such as images, charts, videos and more.
Learning all these different ways of storytelling was daunting at first. But with some guidance and practice, I eventually got the hang of it. Now nearing the end of the semester, I can confidently say that Multimedia Journalism was one of the most valuable courses I’ve taken in college. The skills and tools I learned not only helped me in class, but will probably help me in my career as a journalist as well.
