Farmington Schools: Third Grade M-Step Testing

In the chart above shows the statistics for Farmington Michigan School District third grade m-step testing. Within the chart each schools testing results have been charted to show either the increase or decrease in the yearly test scores of each elementary’s students and how they compare to other schools statewide. Within the statewide data it shows that the test scores have slowly been declining over the past decade. When we take a look at all eight elementary schools scores independently each school was trending downwards within the first five years of the past decade with most of reaching an all time low over the past decade during the 2020-2021 school year. We can infer this happened due to the pandemic that occurred during that year which made learning and testing harder for students not just statewide but world wide. The school that has performed the best over the past decade is Forest Elementary with them having a all time high 81.1% within the 2018-2019 school year and an all-time low of 47.5% during the 2015-2016 school year. The school that performed the worst statistically over the past decade was Lanigan Elementary with an all-time high of 61.7% in the 2017-2018 school year and a all-time low of 37% during the 2022-2023 school year.
