Farmington Elementary Schools M-Step Score Fluctuation

Each year, third grade students are expected to participate in standardized testing for the state of Michigan. This displays accurate information as to where the school lies in their teaching based on the intelligence of its’ students. In the Farmington Hills District, there are eight elementary schools who had their third grade students participate.

The state consistently rests around 42-43% met scores and when compared to the state numbers, the viewer can see where each school lies. In the 2020-21 school year, elementary schools like Beechview Elementary and J.A. Lanigan Elementary had significantly lower met scores with 34%. Three years late in 2023-24, both schools had a significant increase in met scores, putting them above the statewide average.

Mi Schools Data provides insight into specifics based upon the ratings from each students’ test scores. These rates tend to fluctuation from year to year because of multiple factors. Things like budget cuts, world pandemics, and school involvement can influence a child’s test scores.
