A look back on the Allen Park VA Hospital

It started in 1939 as a hospital for veterans. It follows a Georgian revival style architecture. The hospital provided the highest level of care at the time. It included additional buildings such as a kitchen, dining hall, auditorium, boiler house, laundry building, and housing for employees. It was demolished in 2004 and later turned into a large shopping center.
