Comparing Wayne-Westland Social Media Accounts

The @WayneWestland YouTube channel posts content at least once a month. These videos mostly consist of recordings of their school board meetings as well as some profiles on their teachers and instructional methods. Occasionally, they will have post a topical video, such as this one promoting attendance:

The Wayne-Westland official Facebook also posts regularly, sometimes multiple times a day. Their content is generally photos, specifically of fliers announcing upcoming events, recent awards, and pictures of what’s been going on at the school. Recently, they shouted out the Anime & Comic-Book Club at Stevenson Middle School:

The district even has an Instagram account, though the content is virtually the same as what is posted on their Facebook page. Content that is posted to Facebook and Instagram at the same time will usually be informational such as this flier for an upcoming flag football tournament:

Additionally, Wayne-Westland Schools now maintains a presence on TikTok, which started uploading content in January of 2024. Initially the district would post around two or three TikToks a month, but they have only uploaded once so far this year. While they also recycle content you would see on their other official sites to their TikTok, they will occasionally post original meme-style promotional videos.

In general, Wayne-Westland has a relatively frequent and informative social media presence, save for their TikTok. The posts are professional, friendly, and not overly lame. It seems to function as a good way to stay up-to-date on the district for parents, faculty, and their students.
