Schools in the West Bloomfield district have had math M-Step scores that have generally fallen in the last decade. Years ago, their scores hovered above or around the statewide averages but over the years, they have dropped.
Roosevelt Elementary and Scotch Elementary had much higher scores recently compared to that of Sheiko Elementary. A noteworthy comment is that there has been news for a couple years of tearing down Roosevelt Elementary because it isn’t worth keeping open anymore. It’s scores are higher than the other two elementaries listed and higher than the statewide values, also being the one school showing a slight increase in the past couple years.
COVID years reflect the biggest dips in the elementary schools themselves as well as the district as a whole. Statewide data also reflects a dip but not as substantial.
