The Farmington School District features various social media page, including several for the school district as a whole, as well as many for each individual school in the district.
North Farmington High School’s Instagram announcements page is regularly updated multiple times a month. As shown in the picture, they had posted a date for students to learn about the changes to the SAT.
This is only one example, but they provide various informative posts throughout the entire year. Posts about student future careers, college events, and community events.
The Farmington School District Twitter page posts are a little different than the Farmington North High School Announcement Instagram page. The Farmington Schools Twitter page posts are more focused on things like athletics, free breakfast this week, school closings, student after school entertainment/social events, and studying/tutoring events. It is regularly updated. As shown in the example, they have posted the dates for a cheerleading spring youth clinic.
Unlike the North Farmington High School Instagram page or the Farmington School District Instagram page, the Farmington High School Facebook page is not updated regularly. Their last post was October 27, 2021. The page refers parents to the Farmington High School Community Facebook page, which is a private group. It had shown that there were four new posts today.
The final social media page I look at was the Farmington Public Schools TV10 YouTube page. It is all video media, and most of the posts are sports related just like the video posted below. Some of the videos are student signing days for their universities they will be playing sports at the following year. Other areas the YouTube page covers are High School dances like Prom, as well as Student Graduation days. They occasionally post an old graduation day video, school dance, or sports match from years back. It is regularly updated with new video posts a couple times a month.
