Brighton Area Schools Social Media for the Community

Among many districts in the state, Brighton Area Schools has a strong social media presence among multiple platforms. Through my exploration of Instagram, Youtube, and Facebook, I have noticed many posts that reach out to the Brighton community. I have included multiple posts that inform the Brighton community of current events and recognition of student and faculty achievements.

Below is an Instagram post of the Junior Kindergarten – 4th grade application window. This is a great reminder for parents looking to make sure their kids are enrolled.

This is Brighton Area Schools Youtube account showcasing a class of 7th grade students (algebra) working together to program a sphero ball. This is a great team building activity that allows the students to work together and improve communication skills by guiding the robotic ball along the marked path.

Below is another Instagram post that questions “Are you surviving or thriving?” This post is centered around overall well being and displays multiple principals towards improving physical and mental health.

This last post praises Brighton High School cheerleading coach (Christina Wilson) on achieving Division 1 coach of the year. Mrs. Wilson has coached Brighton High School for the last 12 years and has achieved many awards in her time as Brighton High School’s head coach.
