Each season of the “Crimetown” podcast (by Gimlet media) investigates a new city’s crimes and now it’s Detroits turn. Hosts Marc Smerling and Zac Stuart-Pontier begin the new season by diving into a potential corruption within the Detroit Police Force and what happened when one of their own sought the truth.
I enjoy this podcast because it brings first person commentary into a true crime documentary style and draws me in every time. The host interviews subjects in a professional but entertaining way, while giving the listener full context and background.
