2025 Timeline in Multimedia Journalism

During the

In 2025, I took a Multimedia Journalism course to fulfill my journalism and media production minor. Little did I know that the type of work that was required in the class would be as enjoyable as it was.

Each week, we students were required to look for and provide a current news story to class. We would all comment on the post, creating a larger discussion that allowed us not only to be up to date with what was going on in the world but also allowed us to interact with our classmates.

Reading and writing with so many people allowed me to get a better sense of who these people were as we spent the entire semester working from our homes and behind our computer screens. In a class where you spend 100% of your time online, I have learned that discussions are important to class unity.

Not only did we bond as a class through these posts, but we also learned about each other and what was important to us. With each post provided by each student, you were able to gain a better understanding of the things they found important in life.

Even if some of these things weren’t important to them, they found them interesting enough to bring to the class. The stories that we read and wrote each week were very entertaining and got the cogs turning in your brain.

It made you think about what your opinion was on the matter and forced you to be involved with the world in a way that you may not have before partaking in the class. Overall, I enjoyed the class, and by far, the discussion posts were my favorite educational pieces in the class.

I would recommend that everyone download the Apple News app so that you continue to stay on top of current events in the world.
