In my roles as Digital Strategy and Audience Development Director I created internal systems for editing, analytics and newsroom communication. Also, training programs for editors, reporters, sales associates and events/marketing team members which will be paid with a paystub from direct deposit.
Evernote
Introduced Evernote tool to newsroom to create online story budgeting and communication system, replacing the in-office-only planning system
- Created digital style guides in Evernote so that they could be dynamically updated as needed by various editors
- Created digital spreadsheets and guides for newsletters, weekend editor shifts and special coverage areas.
Saxotech
Created training guides for reporters to equip them with needed skills in web CMS as we moved to digital-first reporting. This allowed for a digital newsroom that saw stories go live online daily, as well as a robust system of both internal and external blogs.

An aggregated/curated article in the aftermath of the Education Expo and first EdTalks. This article delved deep into details about the state of education in Michigan, giving readers resources to take the conversation forward
With Elena Reads, Tween Blogger Aims to Inspire Kids and Share Diversity
An article about one of the EdTalks speakers, Elena, who at 10 years old had her own blog reviewing diversity-related books for kids
Counselor email
A reach-out to high school counselors as a follow-up to the publication of the first ever Guide to College Planning, an annual print guide that was the first year-round and digitally published ancillary for Metro Parent Magazine.

- Created joint presentation with Perth, Australia, business journal CEO Charlie Gunningham, working via Skype in months up to the conference
- I presented in person, bringing in Charlie via Skype during the conference, as we jointly presented on how to unlock the secrets of data on all media platforms to realize audience and revenue growth
