Patch came into my life in the middle of the summer of 2010, and things haven't been the same since. My relatively calm though busy existence as a college instructor was thrown up into the air when I decided to join Patch.com, which I believe is part of the revitalization of local journalism. I've worked in two print newsrooms and led three websites. I've written, edited and designed in print and online. I became a college instructor having never taught a class before in my life. It's safe to say I thrive on jumping in and learning to swim.
